Today's Girl Scout experience is all about leadership. Through Girl Scouts, a girl gains the courage, confidence, and character to stand out among her peers.


Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey (GSNNJ) depends upon your generosity to provide the framework to build successful leaders. It only costs $10 a year for Girl Scout membership, and this entre fee is sent to Girl Scouts of the USA. However, it costs GSNNJ $227 to provide each girl with the programs and tools to develop leadership skills and values for her lifetime.

*Safe, affordable and challenging programs for girls.
*Leadership development experiences of fun, friendly and monitored activities with positive influences.
*Older Girl programs designed to stimualte interests in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), career exploration, and community service.
*Training and meetings for adult volunteers who are screened, trained and abide by the Girl Scout Law.
*Publications for girls, parents, and volunteers.
*Financial assistance to ensure that all girls have the opportunity to participate in Girl Scouting.
*Accident and liability insurance to registered girl and adult members participating in Girl Scout activities.

Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey, the largest council in New Jersey, serves 20.5 percent of girls ages 5-17 in 160 municipalities including all of Bergen, Morris, Passaic, and Sussex Counties and the northern half of Warren County. There are currently 35,000 girl members and 16,500 adult members, with service centers in Paramus, Randolph and Riverdale.
